The moment I sat down with Cedarius Mille, I knew I was in the presence of a rising star, a young man who's making his mark not only on the gridiron but also in the classroom and the community. Mille's journey from a small 2A school to becoming a standout football player is nothing short of inspirational.

"Growing up, I always wanted to be a running back," Mille starts our conversation with a grin. "But I finally found my spot as right tackle, defensive end. It seems I'm the go-to guy in clutch moments."

Indeed, his tremendous athleticism and a playing weight of 277 pounds enable him to plow through double teams and block passes. But what sets Mille apart is his unparalleled agility and speed, unusual for a player his size. "I'm just as athletic as a small guy," he notes with pride. "I can jump to the sky and have tons of speed."

However, Mille's achievements are not confined to the football field. Holding a 3.3 GPA, he ranks number two in his class, demonstrating an admirable academic prowess. "Being great on the field isn't enough," he insists. "You have to be awesome in the classroom as well. You can't be smart on the field without an education!"

His hardworking nature and drive to succeed are derived from his personal life. "My grind and why I motivate myself is I want to give back to my mom and the community. When my dad left the house, he told me to be the man of the house, and that's what I want to do."

A valuable life lesson he learned on the field was never to underestimate anyone. "In PeeWee, I was playing around, thinking they were soft, until this one player just knocked me off my feet. I learned never to take anyone for granted, no matter how they look."

His demanding yet rewarding journey has taught him how to handle high-pressure situations with ease. "I handle high stakes games easily," he admits. "All I know is that I'm going to keep playing my game, lose or win."

Mille is also an inspirational figure to his peers, embodying respect and helpfulness. "Being respectful goes a long way," he observes. "I'm always willing to help someone."

Moreover, he acknowledges Coach Adrian Ivory as a significant influence on his aggressive playing style. "He's gotten me aggressive and stayed on my tail to where I need to be," he confides.

But above all, Cedarius Mille is on a mission to leave a lasting legacy at his school and beyond. "I want to leave my mark by being the highest GPA student in the state of Arkansas and being a football player," he proclaims.

Cedarius Mille is indeed a unique blend of strength, speed, intellect, and character. He serves as a testament that sportsmanship and scholarship can indeed harmonize. His story reminds us that the real victories are the ones that impact the community positively, on and off the field. This is Cedarius Mille - a champion, scholar, and a role model for all aspiring young athletes.
